Kerala
is equally rich in its cultural heritage. Though, political capital
of the state is Thiruvananthapuram, cultural capital of Kerala is
Thrissur. This is the place where the festival of festivals, Pooram,
is conducted with dozens of decorated elephants leading the processions.
Festivals round the year with spectacular processions are a part
of the cultural life in Kerala. Every cultural event is different
from the other in its own way. So, there is very less to miss out
on the cultural side of Kerala.
Apart
from the festivals, other cultural events are also hosted in different
parts of the state. These programs include traditional art forms
such as folk songs, folk dances and other dance forms like Kathakali,
Mohiniattam, Bharatanatyam etc. Events are also held for Carnatic
and Classical music.
SITC have been organizing special
Cultural Kerala packages to offer tourist the convenience of participating
in the maximum possible events within the stipulated period of stay.
Cultural package could be clubbed with any other package or activity
of one’s choice.
