Shirdi

Shirdi is a small town located in the central part of India, in the state of Maharashtra. Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi is perhaps one of those revered destinations that attracts devouts across all religions.

The Sai Baba Temple is thronged by thousands of devotees each year, irrespective of religion, caste and creed. Devotees can offer puja services throughout the day and the aarti ritual is performed five times every day.

Being a temple town in a remote region, this place has very little to offer apart from the pilgrimage. Here, a personal museum preserves the belongings of Sai Baba. Samadhi Mandi is another, smaller shrine that marks the exact spot of Sai Baba's Samadhi that is built with white marble. A mosque is situated on the right of the entrance to the Samadhi mandir. The main attraction is the oil painting of Sai Baba sitting in a carved wooden shrine.

Pilgrimage to Shirdi is normally of shorter duration, which could be performed within 3 days also.
